77th Independence Day was celebrated at The Blind Relief Association Nagpur’s Mundle English Medium School with patriotic fervour and zeal. The celebration commenced with hoisting the National flag at the hands of Chairman Shri. Makarand Pandharipande. He was accompanied by Principal Dr. Mrs. Rupali Hingwe, Head Master (Primary) Mrs. Megha Padhye, Supervisor Mrs. Shilpa Dongre, Senior teachers Mrs. Sucheta Shembekar and Mrs. Madhuri Kelapure. National Anthem then filled the air with patriotism.
Inspiring message giving speeches were delivered by the students in English, Sanskrit and Marathi. A poem in Hindi “Bharat ke Vikas ka Safar” invoking a patriotic feeling was presented by students. Students also gave a breath taking performance of Indian Traditional Sports such as Lathi, Dandpatta and Talvarbazi. A rhythmic band performance was given by School Band. M.T.S.E. students, who secured special and consolation prizes, were felicitated at the hands of Chairman Shri. Makarand Pandharipande Sir.
The entire School was beautifully decorated with tricolor theme to commemorate the 77th Independence Day. The programme concluded by singing Vande Mataram and distribution of sweets to the students.
