        Mundle English Medium School was established in 1998 by The Blind Relief Association Nagpur with the motto, “Tamso ma Jyotirgamaya” and the vision of the school is

         “The vision of The Blind Relief Association Nagpur’s  Mundle English Medium School is to create highly capable future citizens, equipped with varied life skills and positive character, having faith in Indian values.”

          Situated in the heart of the city and blessed with natural splendour it aims to bring up students with all round personality and be able to meet the challenges of life.

         It was established with the foresight and vision to provide quality education to aspiring students and to promote inclusive education. Today, physically disabled and visually challenged along with normal students are availing the benefits of high standard education at competent and fair fees.

             Mundle English Medium School started with 100 students and presently has 1250 students from standard 1st to 10th. The school follows the Maharashtra State Board Curriculum and is considered as one of the most reputed and leading schools of Nagpur.

          Time and again school has proved its mettle not only in academics but also in the field of sports, music, art and craft, competitive exams, quizzes.

Since its inception the institute has touched new milestones due to cooperative and efficient managing committee, dedicated administrative staff, qualified and hardworking teachers and ambitious and sincere students.

Special Features of the school

  • A well-furnished and equipped Maths and Science laboratory is setup to motivate children and help them to develop a liking for the subject.

Under skill development, students of std. IV & V are being taught ‘Shlok Recitation.’

CMCA for students of std. VIII :- children’s movement for civic awareness, NGO, weekly holds a class to inculcate values in children and helps them to become a responsible citizen of India.

Guide for std. VI and VII is a compulsory activity. Uniform for the same is to be purchased by the parents.

           The institute set in significant green cover was transformed into a dream institute under the Chairmanship of -pioneer Chairman Late Shri Prabhakar Rao .R. Kulkarni. It was his foresight to provide the best education to aspiring students and to develop them into better individuals who are ready to face the competitive world. The progress of the Institute was further enhanced by Ex- Chairman Shri Nikhil Mundle who framed the “Wish list for School – Strong Academics, Imparting Moral Values, Inculcating Indian Culture, Skill Development” and ensured implementation of the wish list in each and every activity of school. This rich legacy was further enriched by present Chairman Shri Makarand Pandharipande who constantly strives hard to provide best of the facilities to the students and has the vision to see the school on the topmost pedestal by building state of art and environment friendly school infrastructure, promoting and developing scientific attitude, abiding by rich Indian Values, Culture and Traditions, inculcating sustainable development approach, giving exposure to recent technological advancement, innovation and creativity. The support, cooperation and visionary approach of esteemed members of managing committee is noteworthy and laudable.

        It is rightly said that, “Leadership is the capacity to translate Vision into Reality.” The vision of managing committee was brought into reality by the school’s Principal and Headmaster who provided strategic direction to the school system. Leading from the front the Pioneer Principal Mrs Archana Muzumdar, followed by Current Principal Dr Mrs Rupali Hingwe, Headmaster Primary Mrs. Megha Padhye and former Headmaster Miss. Manjul Mehta worked tirelessly to better teaching learning, created a climate hospitable for better education, cultivated leadership in others and ensured significant academic success for all students.

         It was due to the foresightedness of the managing committee and exemplary leadership that within a short span of 7 years The Blind Relief Association Nagpur’s Mundle English Medium School bagged the “Mahatma Phule Shaikshanik Gunwata Whadva Vikas Abhiyan Puraskar” at the hands of Sri Vasant Purke, Minister of Education, Maharashtra State, on 27th May 2006. The school was ranked as “An Outstanding School in West Zone for its remarkable and distinct growth and development. It was a momentous achievement for The Blind Relief Association Nagpur’s Mundle English Medium School.

      Among the plethora of Awards received by school students, the Inspire Award (A national level science exhibition organised by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India) bagged by Master Kshitij Mahajan was a feather in the cap of the school. Master Vibhav Awande brought laurels for the school by representing school at National Level in Inspire Award.

      Mundle English Medium School is among the many schools all over India where the ATAL TINKERING LABORATORY (ATL) is established with the objective to foster curiosity, creativity and imagination in young minds and inculcate skills such as design mindset, computational thinking, adaptive learning, physical computing etc. This is a project of Central Government- Niti Aayog established with the vision to cultivate 1,000,000 children in India as neoteric innovators.

         From the beginning, the school has sustained the legacy and record of giving 100% SSC Board Results, every session. The exemplary performance and marvellous achievement of students in SSC examination are due to the impact and the inspiration of the dedicated school teachers. The noteworthy results year after year are due to the teachers who counsel and mentor students and teach students how to use and apply knowledge in their lives.

Annual School Magazine “ALMANAC”

         The school has carved a niche as one of the most coveted and best schools of Nagpur. The students have brought laurels in various sports at National, State and District Level Sports Meets. Equal emphasis is laid on cocurricular activities such as sports, music, drama, art and craft and skill development activities like preparation of manure, learning foreign language, paper bag making, yoga for health, recitation of shlokas etc. The 17th Bal Rajya Natya Spardha was organised between 6th Jan and 10th Jan 2020, in which the School Bagged 1st prize for the play “Majha Pakhru.” The play “Krishna Neeti” also was highly appreciated and bagged prizes in various categories.

        The morning assembly begins with the “Vishwa Prarthana”, seeking good for each and every one and thereby inculcating the value of “Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam”. Celebrations form an integral part of the assembly so as to acquaint students with the Indian festivals and traditions associated with them. Students are encouraged by rewarding them in the assembly for participating and winning various Intra school competitions. This is followed by one minute meditation to increase the power of concentration.

           Educational visits to industries, agricultural fields, museums, temples, science centres, remote sensing centres and picnics are a regular feature of the school.

        CMCA (Children’s Movement for Civic Awareness) an NGO holds weekly sessions to inculcate social responsibility in children, promote civic awareness and help them to become a responsible citizen of the country.

        The Annual School Magazine “ALMANAC” echoes the school’s outstanding achievements, activities and success stories of students along with various noteworthy endeavours of the school and much more.“The Annual Social Gathering” and “The Annual Exhibition” of school are based on unique themes which not only explores the creativity and the hidden talent of the students but also gives them a different learning experience to develop their artistic aptitude. The MEMS School Band has won many accolades in various Interschool Competitions by its melodious rendition of tunes.

           To pay tribute to the great mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan, NUMEROMAGIC- An Interschool Mathematics Crossword Competition is organized every year with a special objective of developing mathematical skills in students and arise in them a liking for the subject.

           The school has bagged “The Green School Tag” by adopting the most innovative and effective practices to manage natural resources within their own premises like installation of solar panels, rain water harvesting, manure making, plastic free premises.

         The school has state of art infrastructure with well- equipped Science and Maths Laboratory, exceptional Library, tech savvy Computer Lab, artistic Art and Craft room, serene Music room, Spacious playground, well ventilated and airy Classrooms with LCD facility, hygienic and modernized Washrooms. The enthusiastic faculty members are making the learning experience worthwhile for students by striving enthusiastically to bring out the hidden talents of students and provide appropriate guidance. The students have immensely benefited from these facilities and have brought acclaim to the Institute by being successful in various fields.

       In order to ensure 360-degree development of the child’s personality, curriculum is designed around academics, social awareness, extracurricular activities, interschool events, value-based education, social sensitivity which will be instrumental to develop global mindset of children.
